First of all, I had to find a file online on thingiverse since creating one would be too hard. I looked for a very long time and decided to make a cool bee I had found. I then downloaded the file so that I could put it onto Illustrator. After I put it on Illustrator, I changed the colors so that the laser cutter would know exactly what to do. |
Next, I downloaded the Illustator file onto my USB and went to the lazer cutter. After setting up the file, I started the machine and it started cutting off the cardboard. I was a little worried that the wings of the bee wouldn't be perfect since the lazer might burn the cardboard and the wings were super thin. |
During class, I was able to assemble the bee, but it was WAY too fragile, so I carefully constructed it and took this photo. I then destroyed it so that I could carry it home easier. Later when I got home, I reconstructed the bee with super glue, and it looked really cool! It's currently sitting on a shelf in my dads office. |
